Brighten up your holidays with this creamy maple eggnog recipe! Prepare it with our pure Quebec maple syrup for a beverage everyone will enjoy.
Ingredients (for 4 servings)
- 8 egg yolks
- 6 tsp of sugar
- 1L of milk
- 4 tbsp (60ml) of maple syrup
- 4 tbsp (60 ml) of Canadian Whisky
Whipped cream topping
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1/4 cup maple sugar
Instructions
- In a pan on the stove, warm up the milk until hot but before boiling.
- In another bowl, whip the yolks and sugar together. Add the whisky and maple syrup.
- Slowly pour the hot milk in the eggs while still whipping.
- Whip the cream until almost stiff.
- Whip in the maple sugar.
- Serve the eggnog hot, topped with the whipped cream and a sprinkling of finely grated nutmeg (or cinnamon) and maple sugar.
