Ingredients
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) water
- 30 ml (2 Tbsp) cornstarch
- 250 ml (1 cup) maple syrup
- 250 ml (1 cup) raisins for pie
- 1 piecrust
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the water and the cornstarch.
- Mix in the syrup and the raisins. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring, until the mixture is thick and transparent, approximately 5 min. Let cool.
- Pour into the piecrust, decorate with strips of dough and bake in a very hot oven, at 220oC (425oF), for approximately 20 min or until the crust is nicely browned.
