Maple syrup glazed carrots

Maple glazed carrot Recipe


Add flavor to your carrots with this maple and mustard glazed carrot recipe! They will go well with all your favorite meals.

Ingredients (6 servings)

  • 18 small fresh carrots
  • 250 ml (1 cup) boiling water
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) maple syrup
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) butter
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) prepared mustard
  • Salt and pepper



  1. Wash and peel the carrots.
  2. Place in a saucepan with the boiling water, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cover and simmer for 10 min.
  4. Drain, reserving the cooking liquid. Place the carrots on a plate.
  5. Boil the carrot water until it is reduced to 125 ml (1/2 cup).
  6. Add the maple syrup, the butter, and the mustard.
  7. Simmer for about 7 min. Season to taste.
  8. Add the carrots and cook until they are glazed.
  9. Serve hot.
