Maple Martinette's Egg Nog


4 servings 


8 egg yolks
6 tsp of sugar
1L of milk 
4 tbsp (60ml) maple syrup                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    4 tbsp (60 ml) of Canadian Whisky



In a pan on the stove, warm up the milk until hot but before boiling.

In another bowl, whip the yolks and sugar together. Add the whisky and maple syrup.

Pour slowly the hot milk in the eggs while still whipping.


Eggnog, topping

1 cup whipping cream

1/4 cup maple sugar

Whip the cream until almost stiff. Whip in the maple sugar. 


Serve the egg nog hot , top with the whipped cream and a sprinkling of finely grated nutmeg ( or cinnamon) and maple sugar.
