Maple Tiramisu

 

Give your tiramisu a touch of Quebec with this maple tiramisu recipe! Our pure maple syrup is an excellent substitute for sugar.

Ingredients (4 servings)

  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) espresso
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) maple syrup
  • 16 ladyfingers
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) maple syrup
  • 8 oz. (225 g) mascarpone cheese
  • 3 egg whites
  • Shaved chocolate to taste

 

Instructions

  1. Mix espresso with 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) maple syrup. Soak ladyfingers in this mixture.
  2. Whisk egg yolks and 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) maple syrup energetically for 2 min.
  3. Fold in mascarpone. Set aside.
  4. Whip egg whites.
  5. Fold whipped egg whites into mascarpone. Spoon a little of this mixture into champagne or sherbet glasses.
  6. Top with ladyfingers.
  7. Cover with remaining mixture.
  8. Sprinkle with shaved chocolate.

 

Suggestion: If desired, decorate with raspberries and a sprig of mint.
